With the RYE Waterproof Insulated Hat we set out to create an extension of the RESERVOIR RAIN SHELL JACKET and BIBS. Our incredible IRON SHELL material has given such clear meaning to the word “waterproof” in the bass fishing industry that we knew we could create an unprecedented technical headwear piece as well for our athletes. Tournament bass angler's heads and ears have always been incredibly vulnerable when in cold, wet conditions. We knew our proprietary IRON SHELL material would easily solve this problem. The challenge we faced while creating the RYE was the look and style of this piece. After several years of testing, we concluded that this new take on the ear flap style not only was the most functional, yet also the most stylish way to accomplish our goal.
